Well here I go, my first thought is about google - something I was thinking about after I chose blogger.com as my blogger. I had looked at various other sites with free hosting but as soon as I found out that blogger.com was owned by google there was only one choice. Like a lot of other people I like google corp, I have several gmail accouts (my hotmail account has been left for dead for years now), my homepage is google's personalised home and I regularly use google search along with many other google features. I suppose its the innovation google has, eg the first to have 1GB+ email storage and their willingness to experiment that lead to googles great services. But good services by themselves doesn't lead to the kind of trust and loyalty most of the online community gives google. Perhaps its the fact that google communicates itself in a more personal way as well as giving inside insight into what google is doing, why and what it hopes to achieve. E.g. compare http://googleblog.blogspot.com/ to the more sterile and buisness like http://www.microsoft.com/Presspass/default.mspx (the closest counterpart I could find). Google can also laugh at itself, like the gmail 'infinity plus one' and the 'we love putting things in beta for years' jokes.

The Not The Cow Level (or NTCL) is a secret level in Diablo III, first implemented for the game's third anniversary. There was also a previous conversion book for AD&D 2E called Awakening that focused on the rules but remains pretty obscure. After the release of these conversions WotC also released a web enhancement called The Secret Cow Level which was an a adaptation of Diablo II's infamous easter egg.
